Strikes & Bites Brings Black-Owned Bowling Back to Lansing
Published on Aug 30, 2025

Lansing’s brand-new Black-owned bowling alley, restaurant, and lounge is now open at 2524 Ridge Road — right where the historic Lan-Oak Lanes once stood.
Revived by a father–daughter team, Strikes & Bites is all about community, family fun, and good food. The space has been completely modernized with LED lighting, 50-inch screens over every pair of lanes, a new sports bar lounge, and an upgraded menu featuring everything from burgers and wings to pizza and mozzarella sticks.
The grand opening weekend August 8th–10th is loaded with giveaways — including free bowling, school supplies, even laptops and TVs for local students.
Strikes & Bites is proof that Black entrepreneurship is thriving in the South Suburbs. Whether it’s date night, a birthday, or just a night out with friends, Lansing now has a fresh new destination to eat, play, and celebrate.
